How It Works Differently

HydroCide uses no problematic enzymes, bacteria, oxidizers or olfactory desensitizers. Instead, HydroCide uses a combination of: counteraction, bonding (chemisorption) and absorption. This technology permanently eliminates, not masks, odors on contact irrespective of what has been tried before.

Absorption. This is the physical penetration of the malodor substance into the inner molecular structures of the product.
Bonding (chemisorption). Involves the exchange or sharing of electrons between the malodor atoms and those of the product. This is a very quick-acting technology. However, if used alone, it will not be a permanent solution. Depending upon the malodor, desorption of between 10 to 50% may take place over a period of 30 minutes to 4 hours (the odor comes back).
Counteraction. A phenomenon that occurs when the proper two odors are physically in the same area, with the overall odor being reduced instead of increased. This method is termed neutralization when no odor results and reodorization when a milder pleasant odor replaces the malodor. It works through Zwaardemaker pairs (conjugates), pairs of odorants that neutralize each other’s respective odors. This principle works by having the counteractant in the same physical state as the malodor. Thus it can be effective on solids, liquids and gases.

Step 1.
One time need: dilute at the ratio of 4 to 8 ounces per gallon of water depending on the severity of the odor to spray on carpet, upholstery or hard surfaces. Important, always apply enough to penetrate to imbedded odor sources. Spray directly onto problem areas with any type of sprayer.

Or, simply pour HydroCide on, making certain that you have covered the soiled area completely and with enough volume to soak through the carpet and the pad and into the floor. Let it dry. That’s it.

Prespray Additive: Add up to eight ounces per gallon of ready to use prespray to deal with odors prior to cleaning. Be aware that the addition of HydroCide may neutralize some fragrances.

FOOD & WATER-BASED SPILLS

Types of spills and spots typically found in this category:

Most food spots and spills can easily be cleaned up by avenge Spotter.

Steps:

1. Remove any excess material by blotting or scraping.

2. Apply Avenge to a towel and blot onto stain and check results.

3. If testing deemed safe, apply Avenge directly to the stain and agitate lightly with the towel.

4. Apply light pressure with a dry portion of the towel to absorb the material from the fabric.

5. Repeat if necessary.

NOTE: Some greasy food spills may require use of Gel Break to break down the oil. If oily residue results after completing step 4, apply Gel Break, agitate and then rinse using Avenge.

INKS, COSMETICS & OILY SPILLS

Types of spills and spots often found in the category:

Ball point pen, permanent marker, lipstick, nail polish, asphalt, chewing gum, crayon, grease, wax etc.

Note: Most inks and cosmetics respond well to spotting with Gel Break. Test by applying a very small amount of Gel Break to the spot. Allow Gel Break to dwell for one minute then gently blot with a white towel. If some removal is apparent, then follow the steps below. If little or none of the spot comes up on the towel, call a Professional Carpet Cleaner for advice. Some ink and cosmetic stains can be permanent.

Steps:

1. Absorb, blot or scrape to remove excess material

2. Apply Gel Break directly to the spot and allow to dwell for one minute

3. Gently blot to remove spot

4. Repeat until no more material is being removed

5. Apply Avenge to remove final residue of spot and to rinse clean.

6. Repeat if necessary.

PAINTS AND ADHESIVES

Types of spills and spots typically found in this category:

Acrylic paint, latex paint, varnish, oil stain, Elmers glue, rubber cement, contact cement, etc.

NOTE: Paints and adhesives come in two basic forms: water base and oil base. You should be able to tell the type by reading the original container and checking the suggested clean-up method. On fresh spills you will use Avenge for water-based products and Gel Break for oil or solvent-based products.

FRESH SPILLS THAT ARE STILL DAMP:

Steps:

1. Absorb, blot or scrape to remove excess material.

2. Determine if spilled material is water or oil based.

3. On water base spills use Avenge. On oil based spills us Gel Break.

4. Apply spotter directly to the spill and agitate lightly with a towel. If spot is hard or crusty, allow spotter to remain for several minutes before continuing.

5. Apply light pressure with a dry portion of the towel to absorb the material from the fabric.

6. Repeat if necessary.

7. If Gel Break is used, do a final rinse with Avenge to remove any residue

DYES & OTHERS

Types of spills and spots found in the category:

Red food dye, shoe dye, furniture dye, plant food, bleaches, rust, mildew stains, etc.

Note: Most dyes react with the fabric to become permanent. Some red food dyes are removable but the services of a Professional Carpet Cleaner may be required. DIRECTONS FOR USE:

7. Urine Eliminator! is high in pH which can discolor some fibers. Rinsing with a vinegar & water solution (1:1) will prevent this

Adding 2 level tablespoons for dog urine or 4 for cat urine to 16 oz. of HOT
water will treat 1 to 2 spots. Entire contents will make 2 ½ gallons for dog
urine or 1 gallon for cat urine.
